Frank DelCore
Hillsborough Township Committeeman

Frank DelCore re-elected to the Township Committee in a landslide victory last November for an additional three-year term.

Committeeman Frank DelCore has lived in Hillsborough since 2001 with his wife Renee, and their two daughters Rebecca and Kristin. He holds an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University Graduate School of Management, along with a BA Degree in Communications, also from Rutgers University. He is a finance professional currently employed by Alcatel Lucent in Murray Hill, NJ as a Director in the Treasury Department, responsible for all Trade and Project Finance and Credit for all North American clients. Prior to joining Alcatel Lucent, he was a Vice President for Fleet Bank in NJ.

Committeeman DelCore, who served as Mayor in 2009 and 2010 and 2013, previously served as Deputy Mayor, liaison to the Capital Planning Committee, Recreation Commission and Grants and Shared Services Commission. He currently serves as liaison to the Police, Rescue Squad, Emergency Management, Economic & Business Development Commission, Municipal Alliance, Historic Preservation, Planning Board, Sign Review Committee and Sustainable Hillsborough Commission.

He also proudly coaches the girl’s softball as part of the Recreation Dept’s softball program.

Carl Suraci
Hillsborough Township Deputy Mayor

Carl and his family have lived in Hillsborough since 1994. He graduated from Rutgers University with a Mechanical Engineering degree and from Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University with an M.B.A.

Carl was first elected to the Township Committee in 2003. He served as Deputy Mayor in 2005 and 2011, Mayor in 2006 as well as on the Planning Board. He was unanimously selected to serve as Mayor for 2012. Prior to his election, he served on the Recreation Commission.

Mayor Suraci currently serves on the Finance Committee and is liaison to the the following Boards and Commissions: Public Safety, Courts, Legal, Administration, Cable Advisory, Credit Card Advisory Committee, Library Council, Parks and Recreation Commission and Youth Services Commission.


Doug Tomson
Hillsborough Township Committeeman

 Committeeman Douglas Tomson elected to the Township Committee in 2011.

He was born and raised in Hillsborough and is a graduate of Hillsborough High School. He lives with his wife Rachel, and three daughters Sara, Hannah and Hailey.

Doug received a BA in Political Science and Global and Multinational Studies from Rider University.

He is the Government Affairs Director for the New Jersey Association of REALTORS® where he is charged with following, analyzing and working with lawmakers to amend legislative and regulatory measures that have an impact on homeownership and the real estate industry.

Committeeman Tomson was sworn into his first term on January 3, 2012. He is the liaison to Agricultural Advisory Committee, Board of Education, Cable Advisory Committee, Board of Health, Local Assistance Board, Library Council, Recreation and Parks Commission, and the Youth Services Commission. Prior to his election, Douglas served on the Planning Board and Capital Planning Committee since 2008. for 2014, Doug has assumed the position of Mayor of Hillsborough Township.

Greg Burchette
Hillsborough Township Committeeman

 Hillsborough's newest member of the Township Committee, Greg has been involved in Hillsborough government for the past 10 years. Greg has served on the planning board, with 2 years being as the Chairman. He has been a member of the Hillsborough Municipal Utilities Authority board as well for the last year. Greg has assumed the duties of Hillsborough Deputy Mayor for the year 2014.

Greg has owned small to medium sized businesses for the last 26 years, presently owning Bridgewater Motorworks in Bridgewater, NJ since 2/98.

Greg graduated from Moravian College in 1982 with a B.S. in Geology/Earth Science. Greg is married to Sella Burchette and together they are raising a son Jared.

Gloria McCauley
Hillsborough Township Deputy Mayor

Gloria McCauley has served as Deputy Mayor in 2010, was unanimously selected to serve as Mayor for 2011 and is currently serving as Deputy Mayor in 2012.

Mayor McCauley, has served as liaison to the following Boards and Commissions: Economic and Business Development Commission, Hillsborough-Millstone Municipal Alliance, Parks Commission, Recreation Commission, Senior Citizen Housing Council, Sign Review Committee, Sustainable Hillsborough Committee and Finance Committee.

Prior to being elected to the Township Committee in 2008, Mayor McCauley, a 20 year Hillsborough resident and local businesswoman, served as an elected member of the Township’s Charter Study Commission in 2007.


Kip Bateman
New Jersey Senator

Kip Bateman was born in Somerville and attended public schools in Somerset County. He graduated from Ithaca College with a B.A. in history and political science in 1980. He also is a graduate of Seton Hall Law School, and in 1987, was admitted to the bar. Currently he is a partner with the law firm of DiFrancesco, Bateman, Coley, Yospin, Kunzman, Davis and Lehrer, P.C.

Kip has served the 16th District in the Legislature since January 1994. He was Assistant Majority Whip from 1994-1995 and 2002-present, and was Majority Whip in 1996. His appointments include the Task Force to Study Homeowner Association from 1996-1997 and the Delaware and Raritan Transportation Safety Study Commission from 1995-1996. Other public service includes serving on the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders from 1988-1994. In 1990 and 1991 he was Deputy Director, and in 1992, he served as Director of the Chosen Freeholders. He also was a member of the Branchburg Township Committee from January 1983 to February 1988, and was Mayor in 1986. He also served on the Branchburg Township Planning Board in 1985 and 1986.

In addition, Assemblyman Bateman is a member of the following community organizations: the Home Sharing Program of Somerset County, Special Olympics New Jersey, Branchburg Rotary Club, Midland Foundation, Somerville Elks, Somerset Medical Center, Branchburg Historical Society, Washington Campgrounds Association, Somerset Public Employees Charitable Campaign, United Way and the New Brunswick Theological Seminary Board of Trustees.

Senator Bateman has sponsored laws reducing auto insurance premium costs for policy holders, allowing tax filers to contribute a portion of their income tax refund to support the Drug Abuse Education Fund (DARE) program and creating a grant program to provide thermal imaging cameras to fire departments and companies throughout the state.

Senator Bateman and his wife have four children. He is the son of former Assemblyman, Senator and 1977 gubernatorial candidate Raymond H. Bateman.

Jack Ciattarelli
New Jersey Assemblyman

The founder and CEO of Galen Publishing, a medical publishing company, Jack M. Ciattarelli served as a Somerset County Freeholder from 2007 to 2011 when he was elected to fill the seat of the late Peter Biondi until he was able to take his own seat in 2012.

He was a Raritan Borough councilman from 1989 to 1995.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in Accounting and an MBA in Finance, both from Seton Hall University.

He resides in Hillsborough.
